Revised Artist Statement

I have always love colors. I love the way it blends in with other colors to create another, and just the way something can look so different with colors in them. That's why I love experimenting with makeup, as I call myself a Make-Up artist.

After taking this course, I found myself a new passion, and that is being an actress. I had an amazing time working with my partner Chris Mapoy on our video project together. We are both very excited as the way it came out. Watching myself on the big screen definitely made me look at myself in a different way because even though it is a me, it is another character. A person completely different than how I act in real life. As an actress I learned to portray my given character on the screen. It's as if you are someone else. Acting is a way to express oneself. I am really excited to keep practicing and learning. I cannot wait to participate in more short films.

Actors are artists, too.
& I am just beginning to unfold the art of acting.

Reflection on the class

I enjoyed taking this course very much. I feel that I was able to get a hands on experience on a lot of the programs that I was not familiar with before such as Photoshop, iMovie, and final cut. I think the lectures are important, however, because it is a once per week class, I feel that a lot of materials are crammed into a class period, and over the week students tend to forget parts of the materials. Also the lab helped a lot because we are actually able to do our work in class.

Overall, I enjoyed taking this class, especially the film project in the end. =)
